🦠Bmw E60 Low Battery Symptoms
mfettara said: First use a Carly to read the battery status, that will show what the IBS registered like the number of hours charging a depleted battery and the last battery change date. Then try to disconnect the IBS sensor : the 2 small connectors going to the processor/module on the battery’s negative pole.

The pressure should rise to at least 3 bar (44 psi) or possibly higher. if it does, then the pressure regulator is faulty and should be replaced. If the pressure is still low, check visually for leaks in the fuel system. Leaks can also be due to a faulty cold-start valve or an injector.
This malfunction can occur in BMW models such as F10, E70, E60, F30, F15, X3, and more. The cause of the malfunction can range from software issues to mechanical problems, and it can result in reduced visibility while driving at night.

If I sit there and continuously press the start stop button it'll eventually crank and start. Typical issue for the most part, everything works, I hear clicking and such, it just won't start.
Red Cog then Yellow Cog caused by bad battery. So yesterday when driving home the Red Cog popped up and the car shifted into neutral by itself. I quickly pulled over turned off the ignition then restared. The car went back into gear and drove for another 1/2 mile until it did the same thing. This time I was stuck at a 4 way intersection trying
Normal E60 system voltage for charging a battery in good health that is over 80% charged is generally 14.1-14.3 volts. For accelerated charging in cold weather the ECM may in rare instances charge AGMs as high as 14.7V and FLA as high as 15.5V as directed by the ECM/CAS based upon IBS feedback.
Step 1: Do not cut the key fob open. Step 2: Check fuse #57 in the trunk, 7.5 amps for the fuel door. Somehow connected the charger in the steering column. Replace if blown. This should confirm that it is a charger problem, not a battery problem. Step 3: Put your key on a sonic care charging base, it should charge it.
Step 1: I highly recommend disconnecting the negative battery cable first since you'll be working on a fuel line near the starter motor. The clamp for the battery cable is tightened with a 10mm nut. Step 2: Remove the cowl cover. This will vary by vehicle but overall this wil require basic hand tools.
To be more precise I received 004F40 Print Ribbon Undershoot HE / Hydraulic Unit, 004FA0 Driving Clutch, 004F43 Duty HE / Hydraulic Unit, 004F42 Assembly HE / hydraulic unit. Codes were cleared at the roadside and the battery reset. The voltage was still reading low at 11.8 at ignition off. Car was boosted and restarted fine after a 15 minute
Dandle. Final stage resistor isnt an issue on E60s. If hes had three batteries already it sound like something isnt shutting down properly although that normally causes a high battery drain message. Another possilbilty thats more likely is the IBS "intelligent battery sensor" which is located right near the battery.

I spent a lot more time this weekend trying to run down the cause of this problem. 1. I checked the voltage between the chassis ground and the alternator and it was 0.017 volts steady. 2. Checked the the voltage between the Battery+ (jump + under the hood and chassis ground and it was 14.6 volts steady.
